It is a well known fact that it is during teenage years that a physiological and neurological maturing process takes place. This leads teens to new forms of abstract thinking, and stringent thinking capabilities and learning. Developing competencies that will assist the middle school student to discover how things are structured and use that understanding en relation to their surroundings is one of our primordial goals.
